I regret to report the death of Alan Hare in mid May.
He was stalwart of Redcar Chess Club and played a key role in keeping the club and its teams running. He was also Redcar Chess Club treasurer for many years.
Alan also played an active role on the Committee of Redcars' Literary Institute.
There is an obituary on the Cleveland Chess Association website.
Rest in peace.
Alan Hare
